Eins, zwei, g'suffa!
Saint Benno Fest and Das GartenGrillFest
Wilkommen to the Party
Two events at the Athenaeum received the Lodge treatment recently. One of them is Indy's oldest festival and the other is a relatively new shindig. Saint Benno Fest and Das GartenGrillFest, two German-inspired get-togethers with two distinct vibes. But they share a strong, unified graphic style that exudes enthusiasm, community spirit, and most importantly, gemütlichkeit!
The Official Kick-off to the Biergarten Season

Celebrating the patron saint of Munich (who legend has it created Bock beer) while marking the start of spring and opening of the Rathskeller biergarten, the Athenaeum’s historic St. Benno Festival is one of the oldest cultural festivals in Indianapolis dating back to 1913. Lodge is grateful to have been trusted to help carry this iconic event into its second century with a design and messaging strategy that honors its unique past and embodies its vision for the future. If you’ve never been, come out next year for authentic live polka, hearty German food, traditional toasts, and a selfie with St. Benno’s towering sidekick, a 6-foot billy goat!

Every Summer, the Athenaeum Goes Hog wild!

If you’ve never been to a real hog roast (or spanferkel as the Germans call it), the Athenaeum’s annual backyard BBQ has you covered with live music, outdoor games, and craft beers!
