Bringing Farm-to-Table to the Rail-to-Trail
Grindstone on the Monon
Putting our nose to the Grindstone

Grindstone on the Monon is bringing farm-to-table to the rail-to-trail in a big way. The chef-driven menu for this new restaurant concept highlights food from farms around Indiana (think everything from Miller Amish Poultry and Viking Lamb to My Sugar Pie and Batch No. 2 condiments), while the buildout includes exposed timber and bold architectural elements, as well as a large outdoor patio with a gas firepit perfect for drinks along this bustling stretch of the Monon Trail.

To help bring this new concept to life, the leadership team at Clancy’s turned to Lodge to help build a bold, new brand that included a logo and identity, signage, social assets, interactive components, and a print ad campaign. With a wink and a nod to the heritage of the historic Monon Railway, we knew the look and feel of this new concept needed to leave the station with a little juice in its caboose. One by one, everything came together like a good roux for an August launch. We’re honored to be able to play a part in the exciting—and ever-changing—local food scene in Central Indiana. It’s time to grind.
