Indianapolis Power and Light (IPL) commissioned Lodge to develop a new character based on their iconic lightning bolt logo that could be incorporated into its branding materials. In order to help remind kids to be safe around electricity and encourage them to be energy efficient, we developed a character who could really connect with our younger audience. Introducing Bolty! Since first creating this super-charged super-hero, we’ve developed an entire family of Boltys to fit a variety of corporate initiatives, campaigns and events. From the sporty race car driver and football player to the more pensive professor and caring physician, Bolty has become a whimsical symbol of energy and conservation for families and school kids across the region. He even has his own web page and activity book. Now all he needs is a powerful theme song. Any ideas?
